I read an article today that deals with a question that a lot of people might wonder about: Can Men and Women be "Just Friends"?
Hmmm. A tough one right. Lets first see what the article had to say.
'Sure, men and women can be friends -- as long as the dynamic falls into one of four categories: 1) the friends explore their, ahem, benefits -- and realize that they like each other better with their clothes on; 2) one of the parties is gay; 3) there are significant others involved and romantic -- and sexual -- needs are taken care of at home; 4) you’re just not that into each other -- in that way.'
Errr....well i did not read any further. The question gets answered here itself.

A Warrior Within
A feeling that has no beginning
Nor does it have an end
Its just a road less travelled
Where you've fallen of a bend
The spoils of yesterdays
will reap their fruits today
All the happiness and hope
Was never her to stay
Isolation is a gift
A conscience left to stray
The wheel of destiny
life's ends it will fray
Who will pick up the pieces?
Raise the will to survive from its grave
The fire within is like dead wood
Inside, the apothic cave
The warrior's heart is weathered and scarred
The strength and honour that he's given away
But the warrior never surrenders
'Wont Back Down' he says
The spirit wanders on into a realm unknown
the vagabond treads where all is alone
A void looks upon the one who carries on
The skies and the earth endlessly caress the horizon
The warrior never stops
till he finds his reason
Marching on, the unnamed one
regaining his hunger to conquer
When the scar is healed and the spirit free
the lionheart will roar for eternity to see
Vanquisher, he makes his destiny now
to him even the heavens will bow
Nor does it have an end
Its just a road less travelled
Where you've fallen of a bend
The spoils of yesterdays
will reap their fruits today
All the happiness and hope
Was never her to stay

The Hypocrite called "INDIAN"
We Indians are perhaps the most astonishing examples of contraerity and hypocrisy.
The recent shameful exit of the Cricket team from the ICC World Cup has shown us how we as people are really big fakes. All we can do is ridicule the players for doing to many ad promos rake in hoards of money and not play cricket.
Ok. I agree. A job not done or done poorly is worth cribbing but hasn't it gone too far this time? Why is fan following being taken to the heights of fanticism? Performing yagna's, praying and fasting for their success and then coming down to burning effigies, stoning houses, even going to the length of hunger strikes and crap like that. Doesn't it all seem unreal?
People, if you really do worship your heroes, worship them enough to know for a fact that even they are human beings and can falter. The chances for failure become manifold considering our Cricket committe is run by a bunch of paralysed, brain dead cretins most of whom have never even picked up a bat in their miserable lives. Making money is their only motive. Cricket can come later.
Most don't have the the time to ponder over such facts. They would go a step ahead and start blaming the coach for it just because he's a white skinned Australian. Let's face is for a fact that we will never know what exactly went wrong in the World Cup when we lost to Banglasdesh. Its over now. Rather than blaming people, it is much more courageous and humble to accept faults and to move on.
The blame game does not end here. Everywhere we see thatpeople are finding excuses to cover up their faults. Even when they know that no one is free of them. Why cant people accept the mistakes they make? In all good wisdom, self acceptance is actually another step to making a better person. But who cares? The lives that people lead these days are as hollow as a flute. Scrambling for that extra buck of money, backbiting, fair weather friends, deceptive promises, broken trust, false sympathies never leave room for saintly thought. The 24*7 work culture has completely transformed the way people live today. And believe it or not, most of them end up as physical and emotional wrecks without freinds or people they can trust. No one would like to spend a lonely life, no? Does anybody have a solution? Please be kind enough to propogate it.

The Obession Of Cricket
This is why you should never do anything good in India because if, by any misfortune, you do screw up eventually, you will be ripped to shreds no matter who you are or what you've done for the country!!
To start with, don't play cricket!!
Amar was at school and the teacher asked all the children what their fathers did for a living. All the typical answers came out, fireman, policeman, salesman, captain of industry, lawyer, businessman etc, but Amar's answer shocked the rest. He said, "My father is an exotic dancer in a gay club and takes off all his clothes in front of other men. Sometimes if the offer is really good, he'll go out with a man, rent a cheap hotel room and let them sleep with him."The teacher quickly set the other children some work and took Amar aside to ask him if that was really true."No," said Amar. "He plays cricket for India but I was just too embarrassed to say."

A good deed a day keeps trouble away...
Well its been two consecutive days that i have done something good for someone.
Yesterday, I handed a 1 re. coin to an old beggar woman. She took that but said that she wanted something to eat. A yes from my dad was all I needed to do that. I took out a 50 re. note, got some pao bhaji from a nearby shop and gave it to her. The contentment in her eyes at the sight of food said it all.
It really got me thinking as to what the value of food really is and how much people have to give away just for two square meals a day in this country of hippocrites and free loading politicians.
Today, a young lady was having trouble with her scooter. The rear tyre got caught in the sandy surface of a bylane near my college. It refused to budge and a huge stoned ensured that it satyed put. Enter the chivalrous dude. I tug at the scooter, one hand on the stone and there you had it. The scooter was up and running!
Felt good to help a lady in need.

The world...as i see it
Hmm...
A glance from a spaceship or a similar object floating in outer space, the world does seem to be a huge blue ball full of clouds and land n water not to mention air. Sounds simple, doesn't it? Back on terra firma, there are a million anomalies to the way it functions.
Why do people act the way they do? Why is there such an immense craving for pleasure and comfort? Why do they run after the 'glitzy' life? Why do people cheat, backstab, steal, loot, pillage, wage war and crave for power? Whyhas the simplicity of life disappeared? Does anybody realise that there might be a day when there is nothing to fight for and no one left to rule over?
Its a series of unending questions that many don't think about and most don't have the answers to. There are so many things that can be simplified but are made complicated for no ryhme or reason. I think it really is in human nature to constantly keep building and then destroying what has been built, parallely.
Someone had said that there are three major causes for all evil in the world today: Women. Money and Power (in this particular order). Try and think about it. I don't think many will disagree with this.

Get Set Go!
Hello.
This is the first post on my blog. I hope to revive the literary genius in me as soon as possible through this blog.
Kindly excuse any obscure, sarcastic, oxymoronic or ezoteric vocabulary that would be belted out here in future!
adios.
